College Board’s Advanced Placement program enable students to pursue college-level studies with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement or both – while still in high school.
International School Manila (ISM) however, is not an Advanced Placement (AP) school. We are an International Baccalaureate (IB) school. As such, we do not see a need to study for or take AP exams for the purpose of college applications. However, we do have three AP courses (AP U.S. History, AP English Lit & Composition & AP Human Geography) in our course offerings and we are a testing site for AP exams for our students that wish to take some.
Here is a list of the AP Courses and therefore, AP exams that are offered.
As an ISM student, should you wish to inquire about whether it is necessary to prepare for and take AP exams, please see your high school counsellor first.
If you end up planning to register for an AP exam at ISM, please speak to Mr. Mike Relf.
AP Exam testing takes place in the month of May.
