Mr. Issa Daoud (Grade 11/12)

Issa is in his second year at International School Manila this year. He began as a grade 9-10 counselor and now has moved up to grades 11-12. Originally from Palestine, he and his family moved to Chicago as a child.  Issa attended Illinois State University where he earned a BS in Business Teacher Education.  He began his career in education as a Business Teacher in the south side suburbs of Chicago for three years.  It is there he realized his real niche in education is in counseling.  He returned back to school getting his MA in School Counseling and Guidance from Lewis University.  He worked as a counselor in Chicago and Tulsa before beginning his international career as a college counselor in China. He spent four years as the Director of Student Services and Personnel and college counselor at Al-Bayan Bilingual School in Kuwait before moving to the Philippines. Issa is a member of the International Associations for College Admission Counselors (IACAC). He is in love with cities he has never been to and people he has never met. If he is not at work you can find him planning his next trip or socializing with friends. He can be reached at daoudi@ismanila.org.
