Ms. Karen Sagall (Grade 11/12)

Karen Sagall is excited to join the International School of Manila community this year! Originally from New York and Northern Virginia, Karen graduated from Columbia University with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics. Not ready to leave academia, she worked in the Undergraduate Admissions at both Dartmouth College and Columbia University.  While at Columbia, she completed her M.A. in Higher and Postsecondary Education followed by a Certificate Program in International Counseling at Lehigh University. Karen made the transition to “the other side of the desk” and began university counseling at the Potomac School, outside Washington, DC.  With an avid love of travel and adventure, Karen found she was spending every summer exploring new countries and cultures, which influenced her decision to move to Belgium to join the International School of Brussels counseling team. Karen is a member of the International Associations for College Admission Counselors (IACAC) and the Council of International Schools (CIS), attending conferences and university programs when possible. After three years of enjoying the European lifestyle, Karen is excited to move to Southeast Asia and join the ISM community. In her free time, Karen can be found scuba diving, working on a crossword puzzle, or simply wandering a new city. She can be reached at sagallk@ismanila.org
